Christmas Server / Winter Server 2025-2026
Winter is here, and christmas, too. Nolf server admin |eGo|Starship was faster than me, but now I put our clanwebsite also into its christmas jacket!

Servername: |eGo|Santa's Workshop
Nolf server admin |eGo|Starship put again all the maps that contain snow or ice together. Just like last year and the year before. She did that with our Deathmatch Server & Harm vs Unity! Both running all the snow maps. (See some screenshots on the right).

Only 3 Servers left with 24/7 uptime
I have noticed that we have the only server of Europe. There are currently 3 servers in total, 2 ego servers and one from UnityHQ.net which is in the USA. Our Ego servers are the only one from Eruope which are always up, you can read at our server page more about it (and server rules).
Once in a while LabRat (US) and TP555 (Europe) host their own server from home.

The End of Monolith - Top Killers of February & March & New Server!

Shut down of Monolith Productions

I have some sad news to share: Warner Brothers announced on February 2025 that it shut down Monolith Productions.
Monolith Productions is one of the last remaining original developers of the No One Lives Forever series and also known for games like F.E.A.R., Middle-earth: Shadow of War, Rage of Mages and other.
You read more on gamesindustry.biz ("Warner Bros shuttering Monolith Productions, Player First Games, and Warner Bros San Diego")
and on jacobin.com ("The Video Game Industry Failed Monolith Productions") you can read a more analytical background to it.
It won't effect us in playing nolf today, but if there will ever come a Nolf3 ... it probably makes things harder, because the copyrights are getting more and more splintered.
Since we host the servers ourself, they won't go offline. Also the nolf master server is hosted by one of our community members, Warner Brothers or any other company won't be able to shut them down.

Ps: Sorry for the vast delay of a new post. I try to post every new month a bit of a tidbit of and around nolf, but work and learning for exams keep me busy. Making a post like this takes almost an hour. Sorry for skipping the month update of March.
